In a push to eliminate the banned CPI(Maoist) by March 2026, central security forces have launched an operation to hunt down the remaining top leaders. The Ministry of Home Affairs has identified several top figures like Mallojula Venugopal Rao alias Sonu, Nirmala, Thippiri Tirupathi alias Devji, Kathakam Sudarshan and 4 other members. Each carries a bounty of ₹1 crore.
