The Staff Side of the National Council (JCM), a representative organisation for central government employees, has demanded that the Centre reduce the period of restoration of commuted pension from 15 to 12 years. This issue will reportedly be a part of the 8th Central Pay Commission's Terms of Reference (ToR). The move is expected to bring some relief to pensioners.
