The Madras High Court directed the Centre to create a simplified, victim-friendly mechanism to help women remove private videos or photos shared online without consent, while protecting their identity. The order came during a hearing of a case where a woman’s ex-partner uploaded private videos. The court also asked Centre to appoint a nodal officer for redressal of such cases.
