The Centre on Wednesday notified the appointment of former Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Aarti Sathe and two others as Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names on July 28. Opposition parties, including NCP(SP) and Congress, had criticised Sathe's name on the list, raising concerns about the judiciary's independence being compromised.
