The Union Government on Wednesday released an additional tax devolution of ₹ 1,01,603 crore to state governments. The tax devolution comes in view of upcoming festive season and aims to enable states accelerate their capital spending and finance their development and welfare-related expenditure. This allocation is in addition to the normal monthly devolution due to be released on October 10.
