West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee alleged that Centre was taking undue credit for lowering GST rates even though the move was initiated by the state. "But why are you (Modi) claiming credit for it? It was our suggestion at GST Council meeting," she added. Her statement comes after PM Narendra Modi said "GST savings festival" will begin from September 22.
