Centre will launch Model Youth Gram Sabha (MYGS), inspired by Model UN, from October 2025 in 1,100 schools nationwide. Students from Classes 9 to 12 will play the roles of sarpanch and village-level officials, hold mock meetings, prepare budgets, and make developmental plans as part of the initiative. This initiative will provide practical knowledge of functioning of panchayats, officials said.
