To prevent loss of life due to continuous rainfall, the Chandigarh Administration has restricted the entry of humans and pet animals or cattle in water bodies like lakes, ponds, nalas, choes etc. Any breach of this order would invite action under Section 223 of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
