Street crime is turning southward in the Chandigarh city if the decrease in snatching incidents is any indication. In the first seven months of this year, Chandigarh has witnessed a dip of over 37% in the cases of snatching as compared to the corresponding period in 2023 and 26% decline when evaluated with 2024 figures of the equivalent time.
