The Chandrayaan-3 Propulsion Module has re-entered Moon's sphere of influence for planned flybys, over two years after the mission's historic landing in August 2023. Launched in July 2023, it remained in a 150 km lunar orbit after deploying the lander and rover. In October 2023, ISRO executed trans-Earth injection manoeuvres, placing it in an Earth-bound path and enabling its return.
