After death of multiple children was linked to 'Coldrif' cough syrup, Tamil Nadu's Drugs Control Department raided the manufacturing facility, Sresan Pharmaceuticals. Chemicals boiling on gas stoves, plastic pipes leaking sticky residue, and rusted equipment were found. The company had bought industrial-grade chemicals, meant for paints, instead of medical-grade ingredients, officials stated.
