Chennai Metro Phase 2 is advancing, with ballastless tracks for driverless train testing expected at the Poonamallee depot in three months. The city will receive its first driverless train in August, and the depot is set to open with the first section from Porur to Poonamallee by November 2025. The project will be completed in stages from 2025 to 2028.
