The Chhattisgarh State Waqf Board has directed all mosques, dargahs, madrasas, imambaras, and khanqahs to compulsorily hoist national flag on Independence Day. "This decision reflects our belief that Indian muslims deeply honour and respect the tricolour," Dr Salim Raj, the waqf board chairman, said. A dedicated portal has also been set up for photographs of flag hoisting to be uploaded.
