Cases of chikungunya, a virus that spreads through mosquito bites, are surging in Mumbai, showing an upward trend. According to data from BMC's Epidemiology and Public Health Department Cell, a total of 265 cases of chikungunya were reported till July this year, compared to 46 in the corresponding period in 2024.
