China has approved some applications for the export of rare earth minerals ahead of its trade negotiations with the US next week. China's Commerce Ministry confirmed the applications' approval without specifying which countries or industries were covered amid the growing demand for the minerals in robotics and electric vehicles. China had halted the exports in response to US imposing tariffs.
