Chinese scientists have installed special detectors deep in the South China Sea to explore the possibility of building a huge underwater observatory. The goal of scientists is to find neutrinos, often called "ghost particles", that come from outer space and may hold clues about the origins of the universe. The Institute of High Energy Physics is leading the project.
