Chinese students at UK universities are being pressured to spy on their classmates in an attempt to suppress discussion on issues that are sensitive to Chinese government, think-tank UK-China Transparency said. Chinese government officials are warning China studies' lecturers to avoid discussing certain topics in their classes, it added. China's embassy called the report "groundless and absurd".
