China has responded amid reports that India and China will resume direct flights soon. "The total population of China and India combined is over 2.8 billion. Resuming direct flights...helps facilitate cross-border travel, exchanges and cooperation," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said. "For some time, the Chinese side has been in close communication with India [on the matter]," it added.
