China, the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter, has announced its first numerical emission reduction targets ahead of COP30. By 2035, it aims to cut emissions by 7-10% and expand solar and wind power capacity to 3,600GW. The plan also includes boosting EV use, increasing forest cover, and expanding carbon trading to heavy industries.
