China is set to begin construction of a 5,000-km rail link, between its Xinjiang province and Tibet, parts of which will run near the China-India Line of Actual Control (LAC), multiple reports said. The project has been registered with a capital of $13.2 billion and will be overseen by the state-owned China State Railway Group.
