The Chinese state media (CCTV) recently made a rare public disclosure about the DF-5 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). With a reported range of approximately 7,500 miles, the DF-5 can reach virtually anywhere in the United States and Europe. A single warhead carries a yield of 3–4 megatons—over 200 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
