The infamous Chinese research vessel Da Yang Yi Hao, flagged for surveillance activities in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), has once again been spotted—this time moving away from Sri Lanka and returning toward Singapore. Earlier in May 2025, the vessel entered the Bay of Bengal from the Malacca Strait during heightened India-Pakistan tensions, raising concerns over its potential espionage role.
