During the ninth over of India's first innings in the Manchester Test, a delivery from England fast bowler Chris Woakes broke India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal's bat. The good-length ball came back sharply, forcing Jaiswal into a late adjustment. Jaiswal managed to defend the delivery, however, the impact snapped the bat's handle. The ball was clocked at 126 kmph.
