Indian citizens lost over ₹22,845 crore to cyber criminals in 2024, Centre informed Lok Sabha on Tuesday, marking an increase of nearly 206% from the previous year. MoS for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, also said that the government has so far blocked 9.42 lakh SIM cards and around 2.6 lakh IMEIs, as reported by police authorities.
