Odisha civil services topper Aswini Kumar Panda has been arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of ₹15,000, the state vigilance department said. Panda, who was serving as the Tahsildar of Bamra in Sambalpur district, allegedly sought the money for converting agricultural land to homestead land. Panda threatened the complainant, saying he won't allow the conversion in mutation case.
