A remark by CJI BR Gavai to a petitioner, who sought restoration of a 7-feet Lord Vishnu idol at MP's Javari temple, has sparked a row. The CJI said, "Go and ask the deity itself to do something." Activist Rahul Easwar said, "Distasteful comments are very unfortunate." Advocate Vineet Jindal wrote to CJI Gavai, asking him to withdraw his remarks.
