Chief Justice of India (CJI) BR Gavai's nephew Raj Damodar Wakode is among the 14 lawyers recommended by Supreme Court Collegium for elevation as Bombay HC judges. Wakode is the son of Gavai's cousin, while his brother, Dr Rajendra Gavai, said he's a "distant relative", India Today reported. Wakode has worked on appellate civil and criminal cases, the report said.
