Supreme Court asked the Centre if a "particular language" was being used to "presume someone a foreigner". A plea filed by the West Bengal Migrant Workers Welfare Board, led by TMC MP Samirul Islam, alleged that Bengali-speaking migrant workers were being unlawfully deported to Bangladesh. "Are we supposed to build a wall like America?", the court asked the government.
