Clashes erupted at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam were allegedly depicted as Ravana. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) said that Left-affiliated student groups attacked a Durga idol-immersion procession. The Left-affiliated All India Students' Association (AISA) called the depiction of Khalid and Imam "blatant and dastardly display of Islamophobia".
