Cleaner air can reduce heart disease, diabetes among women: Study

A new study by IIT-Delhi found slashing pollution levels across the country by up to 30% can substantially reduce the burden of ailments such as heart disease and diabetes among women and children. Heart disease prevalence among women could decline by 3% to 10% if air pollution were slashed. Reductions in diabetes are projected to range between 8% and 25%.
