The Curiosity rover has sent close-up images of Martian rock formations, revealing "dramatic evidence" of water, NASA said. Captured from a mountain's slope inside Mars' Gale Crater, the images show a network of low ridges etched in a striking crisscross pattern. "The bedrock below these ridges likely formed when groundwater trickling through the rock left behind minerals," the agency added.
