J&K CM Omar Abdullah on Wednesday briefed PM Narendra Modi about the flash floods in the region. Omar said, "I'm grateful for his assurance of continued assistance." Notably, the heavy rainfall and flooding caused landslides, road and bridge damage, forcing widespread disruptions. At least 30 people have lost their lives after a landslide on Mata Vaishno Devi route in Katra.
