US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase disclosed a major data breach on May 14 that cost the company $400 million and affected over 69,000 customers. This breach is partly linked to TaskUs employees in India who allegedly fed Coinbase customer information to hackers in return for bribes, a report stated. Hackers impersonated as Coinbase staff and retrieved crypto information from customers.
