Bulandshahr's Colonel Ashutosh Sharma graduated from OTA in his 13th attempt. He was a part of numerous counter-insurgency operations in J&K. He was a recipient of the Sena Medal for gallantry in 2018 and served as a commanding officer of the 21st battalion of the Rashtriya Rifles. He laid down his life during an insurgency operation.
