Harvard astrophysicist Dr Avi Loeb said Comet 3I/ATLAS emits a nickel-based metal alloy never before found in nature. Hawaii's Keck II telescope data showed it releases about four grams of nickel per second, with no iron traces. The distinct nickel and cyanide emissions stretch hundreds of kilometres. Loeb noted such alloys exist only industrially, hinting 3I/ATLAS may have technological origin.
