Comet Lemmon (C/2023 A3) was spotted gliding across the pristine night skies of Hanle, Ladakh, during its closest pass to Earth. The rare comet, discovered by Arizona's Mount Lemmon Survey, is believed to contain ancient material from the solar system's formation. The comet appeared with a faint green tail that comes from diatomic carbon and cyanogen gases glowing in sunlight.
