Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan termed the postponement of the execution of Kerala-born nurse Nimisha Priya in Yemen as "comforting and hopeful". He also congratulated influential Sunni Muslim leader Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar over his reported role in halting her execution. Nimisha is on the death row for the murder of her Yemeni business partner, Mahdi.
