Spain said it's committed to NATO after US President Donald Trump suggested that the bloc should expel Spain for failing to meet the new defence spending target. In June, NATO members had agreed to ramp up their defence expenditure to 5% of their respective GDP annually over next decade. Spain was NATO's lowest defence spender in relative terms last year.
