The Delhi High Court ruled that companies cannot stop employees from joining any company after their employment agreement has been terminated. "An employee cannot be confronted with the situation where [they have] to either work for the previous employer or remain idle," the court said. "Freedom of changing employment for improving service conditions is an employee's vital right," it added.
