The Congress' Kerala unit's social media head, VT Balram, has resigned from his post. His resignation comes after a controversial post shared by the official Kerala Congress handle on X, which read, "Bidis and Bihar start with B and cannot be considered a sin anymore." Balram had been managing the unit's social media since Dr P Sarin resigned last year.
