Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said that Congress central leadership has suggested a new caste census in the state. This comes after Shivakumar and Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday. "High command advised CM and me to ensure everyone is heard as far as the caste census is concerned," NDTV reported quoting Shivakumar.
