Congress leader Jairam Ramesh criticised the government for not participating in the discussions on the statement by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) which condemned Israel for carrying out military strikes on Iran. "Have we been reduced to being an abject apologist for Israel? We cannot even condemn Israel's attacks on and targeted assassinations in Iran?" Jairam said.
