The Congress in Telangana is facing flak for the the Kaleshwaram project. Officials have set a deadline of December 2027 to complete the project, promising a piped water supply to every household in Hyderabad. While in the Opposition then, Congress condemned the Kaleshwaram — built under the previous BRS regime — as one riddled with corruption, engineering flaws, and financial mismanagement.
