Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has approved the purchase of a new Mercedes-Benz worth ₹92 lakh for Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla. "Mercedes currently being used by Governor has completed its service life," Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan said. This comes as Congress-ruled state government struggles with a growing fiscal deficit, projected to exceed ₹1 lakh crore in 2025-26, The Indian Express reported.
