Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil was hospitalised on Sunday after his health deteriorated during an indefinite hunger strike. He was demanding the release of funds under the Samagra Shiksha scheme for Tamil Nadu from the Central government. He had announced his indefinite fast on August 29, saying, "Let us all fight together until our children and teachers get their rightful dues."
