Congress MP KC Venugopal on Thursday wrote to PM Narendra Modi, seeking his "immediate intervention" to save Kerala-born nurse Nimisha Priya from execution in Yemen. In a post on X, Venugopal said Priya is a victim of "unimaginable cruelty and domestic abuse on foreign soil". Venugopal further urged PM Modi to pursue all possible diplomatic measures with the Yemeni authorities.
