Punjab Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has written to PM Narendra Modi to declare Amritsar, home to the Golden Temple, a no-war zone. "In an era marked by rising global tensions and militarisation, it is imperative that Sri Amritsar (Sahib) is shielded from the threats of war and violence," Randhawa wrote in the letter, weeks after the latest India-Pakistan conflict.
