BJP MP Nishikant Dubey accused the Congress of "selling" the Union Ministry of Mining and Petroleum to Serajuddin & Co in 1956. Posting historical documents on X, he wrote, "The party sold Serajuddin the Mining Petroleum Ministry in 1956." "Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru ji himself admitted it in the Lok Sabha," he added.
