Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was admitted to Bengaluru's MS Ramaiah Hospital to undergo a planned pacemaker implant surgery, his son Priyank Kharge informed. "He is stable and doing well," Priyank said. A pacemaker is a small, electronic device implanted under the skin of the chest to regulate a slow or abnormal heart rhythm. Kharge is 83 years old.
