Congress leader KC Venugopal called for a court-monitored CBI probe into the alleged Sabarimala gold theft, citing attempts by the Kerala government and Devaswom Board to suppress the matter. The Kerala High Court has ordered a confidential SIT investigation, to be submitted within six weeks. BJP also criticised the state government, demanding the dismissal of the Devaswom Minister.
